According to ANEC, Brazil's soybean meal exports for May 2026 are forecast at 2.562.971 tons, compared to 2.120.409 tons in the same period last year, representing an increase of 20,87% year-over-year.
A similar trend was already seen in April, when soybean meal exports reached 2.456.600 tons in 2026 versus 2.153.256 tons in April 2025, up 14,09% yoy.
Regarding soybeans, Brazil exported 16.236.377 tons in April 2026, compared to 13.496.355 tons in April 2025, marking a 20,30% yoy increase.
For May 2026, soybean exports are estimated between 14.063.141 and 15.000.000 tons.
From January to April, soybean exports totaled 43.318.854 tons in 2026, compared to 40.079.774 tons in the same period of 2025, an increase of 8,08% yoy.
Soybean meal exports from January to April reached 7.783.822 tons in 2026, versus 7.486.237 tons in 2025, up 3,97% yoy.
February was the only month in 2026 in which soybean exports were below the levels registered in the same month last year.
China remained the main destination for Brazilian soybean exports from January to April 2026, accounting for 70% of total shipments, while Indonesia was the leading importer of Brazilian soybean meal with a 20% share.
Brazil's soybean and soybean meal exports continue benefiting from strong international demand, particularly from Asia, while competitive pricing and large harvest volumes reinforce the country's dominant role in global agricultural trade.
USDA Reinforces Bullish Outlook for Brazil and Global Soybean Supply
According to USDA, satellite imagery and vegetation index analysis continue to indicate exceptionally strong Brazilian soybean yields, supporting expectations for a massive 2025/26 crop despite a slight reduction in harvested area.
The agency maintained Brazil soybean production at 180 million metric tons, citing abundant rainfall and above-average crop conditions across key producing states including Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio Grande do Sul.
USDA also projected record global soybean production and exports in 2026/27, led by larger crops in Brazil, the United States and Argentina. The agency expects soybean crushing and soybean meal trade to expand further as feed demand grows and biofuel-driven soybean oil consumption continues to rise globally.
