Arnaud Lorioz

CEO & Founder

Arnaud started his career as an FX & interest rates trader in the banking sector. He joined the sugar industry at the end of 2013 and took over an intertrade brokerage desk in the Brazilian, European, Indian, and Thai sugar markets. After a few years in the industry, he realized that sugar and many other commodities markets were extremely late in digitisation compared to other financial products and B2B business. The idea to create The Deepcore began in 2017 when he realized the growing demand for better and more efficient brokerage in the commodities sector and the number of problems traders were facing with their current solutions. Arnaud has a keen interest in new technology, digital platforms, big data, and quantitative analysis.

Fred Cox-Johnson

Managing Director Middle East · Sugar Broker

Fred started his career in wealth management at Barclays Bank in London. At the beginning of 2020 he chose to follow his interest in commodities and joined Czarnikow's operations team. In 2022 he was promoted to the raw sugar trading team where he dealt with raw sugar as well as other bulk products including wheat and soybeans. Following a spell at Sopex in London, dealing with white sugar, Fred joined The Deepcore in 2024 to support its international expansion and the opening of its Dubai office.

Ankit is a versatile professional who has acquired significant experience in a wide array of corporate avenues like project management, business development and sales. He has a background in Engineering and a keen interest in commodities. Trading brought him to France, where he graduated with a master's degree from the ESCP Business School, London & Paris. He started his voyage in commodities with an internship as a Broker in Biofuels & Feedstocks with Greenea before embarking full time with The Deepcore.

Rémi Liebig

Quantitative Researcher

Rémi is a quantitative researcher specializing in commodities market analysis, financial modeling, and algorithmic trading strategies. He holds a double master's degree in Mathematics and Quantitative Finance from ESILV and Mälardalen University. His expertise spans Python-based modeling, diffusion models, and data-driven investment strategies. Rémi applies deep learning and statistical methods to enhance predictive analytics in commodities and financial markets.

Riadh Boulifi

Quantitative Researcher

Riadh is a Master's degree student in Applied Mathematics for Finance, specializing in computational finance and actuarial science at the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies at Université de Lille. After completing two years of intensive preparatory classes in mathematics and physics, where he ranked among the top candidates in national competitive exams, he was admitted to the École Polytechnique of Tunisia. He has a strong interest in mathematical modeling, quantitative finance, and risk analysis.

Alexandre Zakhour

Data Business Developer

Alexandre Zakhour is a Data Business Developer Joined Deepcore in 2023 after a robust educational background. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, followed by a master's degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Skema Business School in Paris. Alexandre has gained valuable experience mainly in the food commodities sector in multiple countries, including Lebanon, Gabon, and France. His professional journey has led him to join The Deepcore, where he has cultivated strong expertise in the commodities data.

Nicolas Gonzalez

Nicolas began his career as a Software Developer in Montreal, Quebec, specializing in web development with Ruby on Rails. Early in his journey, he became a valuable contributor to large companies in Advertising and E-commerce. Since joining Deepcore in 2024, Nicolas has pivoted his focus toward data-centric development, working on enhancing the platform's capabilities in processing and analyzing market data for online trading. Blaise Barre is a highly experienced full-stack web developer with a 15-year career, including seven years of successful entrepreneurship. Eduardo commenced his professional journey as a broker specializing in soybean and corn within the vibrant Brazilian agricultural sector.
